What is Procedure Text?
1. Definition
A procedure text is a text that instructs, informs, or helps the reader on how to make or do something.
2. Purpose
The purpose of procedure text is to explain how something is made, done or used through sequential steps.
3. Structure
There are three parts to a procedure text: goal, materials, steps.
- Goal: Goal is the structure of a procedure text that explains the purpose or purpose.
- Materials: Materials is a procedure text structure that describes the tools and materials needed.
- Steps: Steps are steps or instructions in making or doing something.
4. Language rules of procedure text
- Using Simple Present Tense.
- Using Imperative Sentences.
- Using Connectives.
- Using Adverbs.
5. Types of procedure texts
- Procedure text that explains how to operate/use something. Examples: include how to use an air fryer, how to use a dish washer, how to use a camera.
- Procedure text that gives instructions on how to do a certain activity. Examples: include how to play the violin, how to create a website, and how to make rendang.
